Admission Guideline

Application deadline: August 1. for all bachelor (undergraduate) programs. Each program starts in the spring semester, but is preceded by a preparatory course beginning from 1st of October.

Eligibility: For bachelor programs a high school graduation (baccalaureate, secondary school leaving certificate or equivalent) and a basic command of English is required.

APPLICATION FOR 2019/20

We are sorry to inform you, but due to the insufficient Number of applications, Dennis Gabor College will not start English BSc study programmes in the 2019/20 fall and spring semester. Please note that the application deadline expired on August 1, 2019, therefore we kindly ask you to stop sending further application for this period. Thank you for your understanding!

 

THE APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Step 1. Application

Choose the study program you would like to apply for.

Fill in accordingly the online application form and upload a copy of the following documents:

  • Copy of your passport (relevant pages with personal data and photo)
  • High school certificate (notarized English translation)
  • Proof of English language knowledge
  • Other relevant documents relevant to your education, where appropriate
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Proof of payment of the application fee (copy of the bank remittance)

Please note that all documents must be submitted in English. Notarization is necessary for every school leaving document if the original is not in English.

Step 2. Interview

In the case that your application meets the formal requirements you will be contacted to schedule a personal interview with our local representative agent or a video interview by Skype. Our Skype ID is: Ebscgdfhu2013.

Step 3. Decision

After your complete application has been reviewed, our Admission Committee will decide whether it will be accepted or rejected. You will be informed upon the decision.

Step 4. Letter of acceptance

After receiving the payment, a letter of acceptance will be sent to you. This is the visa support document.

Step 6. Visa

Obtain the “Resident visa for study purposes” from the nearest Hungarian Embassy.

In the case the visa is not granted, the College will refund the tuition fee after receiving the justifying documents.

Step 7. Travel, accommodation

You have to make the travel and accommodation arrangements.

If requested by e-mail at the Information Office: info (at) gdf.hu, Dennis Gabor College offers help to new students to find accommodation in the city.

Step 8. Enrolment

Upon arriving at the College, you have to register for the academic program and sign the study contract. The registration period is one week before the beginning of courses.

For enrolment you need to present the original of the documents you have submitted with your application. Also it is necessary to present the proof of a valid health insurance for one year.
